WHY TABLESIDE
What you get from a session
that is designed to work.
Facilitated conversation is only as good as its structure, its facilitator, and what it leaves behind. Here is what Tableside brings to every session.
Back to HomeOVERVIEW
Six reasons households choose Tableside
Each of these reflects a deliberate decision about what a facilitated conversation session should — and should not — be.
Senior-led every time
No sessions are handed to junior facilitators. Every format at Tableside is led by a senior member of the team, regardless of which session you book.
Structured prompts, not improvisation
Tableside uses a developed library of facilitation prompts drawn from community dialogue practice. Sessions are prepared, not ad-hoc.
Materials to take home
Printed prompt cards, written summaries, and facilitator notes mean the session continues working after you leave the studio.
Nobody takes sides
The facilitator's role is to keep the conversation balanced. They do not coach, advise, or steer. Every person in the room gets equal attention.
A purpose-built studio space
Bangsar Baru is a practical location — accessible by public transport, walkable from LRT. The studio is quiet and set up specifically for this kind of session.
Continuity built in
Multi-session formats are spaced intentionally, and the annual subscription pairs you with the same facilitator across the year so the relationship builds.
IN DEPTH
Each benefit, explained
Facilitation expertise
The Tableside team comes from community facilitation, not the clinical or legal professions. This shapes everything about how sessions are run — the language used, the pace kept, the way disagreements are held without being resolved by the facilitator.
Community facilitation is a discipline with its own body of practice. Tableside draws on that practice and develops it specifically for couple and family contexts.
Method and preparation
Tableside sessions are not improvised. The facilitator reads the intake questionnaire before arriving, selects prompts suited to the household's topics, and manages the session structure so participants can focus entirely on the conversation.
The prompt library is maintained and reviewed by the facilitation team. It draws from community dialogue frameworks developed in organisational and social settings, adapted for home use.
Studio support and accessibility
Tableside responds to enquiries within one working day. The intake process is short — a brief questionnaire, not a lengthy assessment. Scheduling is handled by email or phone, and rescheduling with 48 hours' notice carries no fee.
For the Blended Family Block and the Year subscription, Nurul handles coordination and remains the contact point throughout your engagement.
Transparent pricing
Tableside pricing is listed on the website and does not change based on how you found us. A single Couples Session is RM 480, including the prompt card set and facilitator reflection note. The Blended Family Block is RM 1,380 for three sessions including workbook and written summary.
The Year of Family Conversations at RM 2,820 works out to significantly less per session than booking separately, and includes studio workshop attendance and a dedicated facilitator.
What sessions produce
Tableside sessions are not measured by emotional resolution. What they produce is more reliable: a conversation that was had, structured and balanced; a set of prompts households can return to on their own; and for multi-session formats, a written record of what was discussed and agreed.
For many households, the value is in having finally had a particular conversation — not in reaching a conclusion at the end of it.

WHAT SETS US APART
Things only Tableside offers
The Tableside Prompt Card set
Every Couples Session includes a printed set of prompt cards for home use — drawn from the same facilitation library used in-studio, but formatted so households can self-facilitate a follow-up conversation without needing a facilitator present.
Written session summaries
For the Blended Family Block, a written record of what was discussed and agreed is distributed to each adult participant after each session. This is not a transcript — it is a clear, readable summary of the key points covered.
Non-clinical framing
Tableside is deliberately not a clinical service. The language, the space, and the facilitation approach are all chosen to make the session feel like a structured conversation — not an assessment, a therapy session, or a legal proceeding.
The Year subscription model
A twelve-month subscription with up to six facilitated meetings, studio workshop access, and one dedicated facilitator across the year. No other similar service in the Klang Valley currently offers this level of sustained household facilitation access.
